Privacy Policy

EarnScroll helps users build healthier screen habits by requiring healthy activities before unlocking selected apps. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Name: your name or profile information you choose to provide during onboarding or Sign in with Apple.
- Email address: your email address or Sign in with Apple account information you choose to provide.
- Customer support and user content: feedback, support messages, cancellation feedback, product suggestions, or other content you submit to us.
- User identifiers: identifiers associated with your app account, Sign in with Apple account, subscription account, or attribution provider account.
- Purchase history: subscription status, products purchased, trial or entitlement status, purchase restoration information, and related purchase events made available through Apple and our subscription provider.
Information collected through app features
- Camera data: EarnScroll may use your camera to help detect exercises such as push-ups or squats and to support outdoor verification flows such as Touch Grass.
- Health data: If you grant HealthKit permission, EarnScroll may read step-count data to reward walking activity. HealthKit data is used only for app functionality and is not used for advertising, attribution, or marketing.
- Screen Time selections: If you grant Screen Time / Family Controls permissions, EarnScroll may store the app selections you choose to block or manage.
- Usage, product interaction, and device state data: EarnScroll may store or process app interactions, feature usage, streaks, earned minutes, activity progress, onboarding answers, selected settings, subscription screen interactions, and related app events.
- Notifications: EarnScroll may use standard and silent push notifications to help manage relocking behavior and app functionality.
- Device identifiers and attribution data: EarnScroll may collect device identifiers, app instance identifiers, advertising identifiers when permitted, push notification tokens, install attribution, app launch events, product interaction events, and subscription conversion data to understand which marketing campaigns lead to installs and subscriptions.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide the app’s healthy-habit and screen-unlock features
- Personalize parts of the app experience, such as greeting you by name or showing progress relevant to your activity
- Track activity completion, streaks, earned minutes, and settings
- Verify subscription access and restore purchases
- Support selected app blocking, unlocking, and relocking behavior
- Respond to feedback, support requests, and product suggestions
- Measure which ads, campaigns, or channels lead to installs, trials, subscriptions, or other app events
- Evaluate user behavior, product interaction, feature effectiveness, audience size, and subscription performance
- Send product, lifecycle, or marketing communications when permitted by law and your choices
- Improve reliability, security, and app performance
3. Camera, Photos, and Verification
EarnScroll may process camera images or photo-based verification inputs to support certain features, including exercise detection and outdoor verification. Depending on the feature, some image data may be processed locally on-device and some may be transmitted to third-party services or backend infrastructure for analysis or verification.
We recommend that users avoid including unnecessary personal, sensitive, or bystander information when using image-based verification features.
4. HealthKit Information
If you grant permission, EarnScroll reads step-count data from Apple Health so it can reward walking activity with earned screen time. HealthKit data is used only to provide this app feature. We do not use HealthKit data for advertising, attribution, marketing, or sale to data brokers, and we do not disclose HealthKit data to advertising or attribution providers.

5. Subscriptions and Purchases
Subscriptions are purchased through Apple’s in-app purchase system. We may use RevenueCat or a similar subscription service provider to manage subscription status, purchase restoration, entitlement checks, customer identifiers, purchase history, product interaction events, and subscription analytics. We do not receive your full payment card details from Apple.
6. App Tracking Transparency and Attribution
EarnScroll may ask for permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt so we can measure which ads lead to app installs, trials, subscriptions, and other app events. If you allow tracking, we and our attribution provider may access identifiers such as the advertising identifier and connect app activity, device identifiers, user identifiers, product interaction events, purchase events, or subscription conversion events with advertising campaign information for measurement, attribution, and marketing analytics.
If you deny tracking, Apple limits access to the advertising identifier and we do not use the advertising identifier for cross-app or cross-site tracking. We may still receive privacy-preserving attribution, purchase, subscription, product interaction, crash, and analytics information that does not rely on ATT tracking permission.
You can manage tracking permission at any time in iOS Settings.
7. Data Linked to You
Some information we collect may be linked to your identity through your account, device, subscription record, or information you provide. This may include your name, email address, customer support messages or other submitted content, user identifiers, device identifiers, purchase history, and product interaction or usage data. Some analytics, attribution, purchase, or product interaction events may be processed as not linked to your identity depending on provider configuration, Apple privacy settings, and whether you grant tracking permission.
8. Service Providers and Third Parties
We may use third-party providers to operate parts of the service, such as subscription management, cloud hosting, notifications, analytics, attribution, or image / verification processing. These providers may process information on our behalf as needed to operate the app.
- RevenueCat: subscription management, purchase restoration, entitlement checks, and subscription analytics.
- AppsFlyer: install attribution, marketing measurement, app event analytics, device identifiers, and subscription conversion attribution.
- Apple: in-app purchases, Sign in with Apple, HealthKit permission flows, Screen Time / Family Controls, notifications, and App Tracking Transparency.
- LeadConnector / GoHighLevel: signup, feedback, support, product suggestion, and cancellation feedback webhook workflows.
We do not use your information to display third-party advertisements inside EarnScroll, and we do not sell personal information. We may use third-party analytics and attribution tools to measure our own advertising and marketing performance, subject to your iOS permissions and Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework.
9. Data Storage
Some data is stored locally on your device, including settings, progress, streaks, selected app controls, and app preferences. EarnScroll uses local storage technologies such as UserDefaults and shared app group storage so the main app and Screen Time extensions can coordinate app blocking, unlocking, and relocking. Some data may also be transmitted to backend services or trusted service providers when needed to support subscriptions, relocking, notifications, verification, feedback collection, or support.
10. Children
EarnScroll is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
11. Your Choices
- You can choose whether to grant camera, Health, notifications, tracking, and Screen Time related permissions.
- You can manage or revoke permissions in iOS Settings.
- You can restore purchases through the app if you already have an active subscription.
- You can contact us to request deletion of information associated with feedback, support, or signup records where applicable.
12. Security
We use reasonable measures designed to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of EarnScroll after an update means you accept the revised policy.
