Earn It helps users build healthier screen habits by requiring healthy activities before unlocking selected apps. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Name or profile information you choose to provide
- Feedback or support messages you submit
- Subscription and purchase information made available through Apple and our subscription provider
Information collected through app features
- Camera data: Earn It may use your camera to help detect exercises such as push-ups or squats and to support outdoor verification flows such as Touch Grass.
- Health data: If you grant HealthKit permission, Earn It may read step-count data to reward walking activity.
- Screen Time selections: If you grant Screen Time / Family Controls permissions, Earn It may store the app selections you choose to block or manage.
- Usage and device state data: Earn It may store local app state such as streaks, earned minutes, activity progress, onboarding answers, and selected settings.
- Notifications: Earn It may use standard and silent push notifications to help manage relocking behavior and app functionality.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide the app’s healthy-habit and screen-unlock features
- Track activity completion, streaks, earned minutes, and settings
- Verify subscription access and restore purchases
- Support selected app blocking, unlocking, and relocking behavior
- Respond to feedback, support requests, and product suggestions
- Improve reliability, security, and app performance
3. Camera, Photos, and Verification
Earn It may process camera images or photo-based verification inputs to support certain features, including exercise detection and outdoor verification. Depending on the feature, some image data may be processed locally on-device and some may be transmitted to third-party services or backend infrastructure for analysis or verification.
We recommend that users avoid including unnecessary personal, sensitive, or bystander information when using image-based verification features.
4. HealthKit Information
If you grant permission, Earn It reads step-count data from Apple Health so it can reward walking activity with earned screen time. Earn It is not intended to provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
5. Subscriptions and Purchases
Subscriptions are purchased through Apple’s in-app purchase system. We may use RevenueCat or a similar subscription service provider to manage subscription status, purchase restoration, and entitlement checks. We do not receive your full payment card details from Apple.
6. Service Providers and Third Parties
We may use third-party providers to operate parts of the service, such as subscription management, cloud hosting, notifications, analytics, or image / verification processing. These providers may process information on our behalf as needed to operate the app.
7. Data Storage
Some data is stored locally on your device, including settings, progress, streaks, and selected app controls. Some data may also be transmitted to backend services or trusted service providers when needed to support subscriptions, relocking, notifications, verification, feedback collection, or support.
8. Children
Earn It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Your Choices
- You can choose whether to grant camera, Health, notifications, and Screen Time related permissions.
- You can manage or revoke permissions in iOS Settings.
- You can restore purchases through the app if you already have an active subscription.
10. Security
We use reasonable measures designed to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of Earn It after an update means you accept the revised policy.
